Kara and Ken brought their closest family and friends to Newport RI for a beautiful weekend wedding getaway. Their wedding at the Chanler at Cliff Walk was one of my most memorable of the yaer. Having only 20 people in attendance made this day feel more full of love than I’ve ever experienced before. I just loved that Kara and Ken grew up in the same neighborhood and have been friends for over 25 years. It just goes to show that your soul mate could be anyone, even the boy next door.
What can I say about these two? If It’s possible to have a crush on a couple, I’ve got one. When planning their engagement photos they told me they want to bring vintage props, have a holi powder “fight” AND they wanted me to make them a multiple exposure. I know most of you aren’t professional photographers, but that is basically a dream scenario right there. Top it off with a Summer evening at the gorgeous Sheep’s Pasture in Easton, MA and you’ve got yourself one beautiful/hilarious set of photographs.
Love notes on the school bus, paper airplanes and the beautiful backdrop of Quidnessett Country Club were some of my favorite things about Megan + Sean’s wedding. But what stood out most of all were the friendships, love and laughter that were present throughout the day.
Big thanks to Emily Fogarty for being an amazing second photographer, she captured some great moments!
Kara + Ken had a destination wedding in Newport, RI (more on that soon!) and we got together a couple of days before to get in some pre-wedding practice in front of the camera. We basically just hung out, had a lot of laughs and managed to get some photos in between. I love my job!
Since Jenny + David are representing their love of the great outdoors by having their wedding at a Summer camp they wanted their engagement photos to showcase the city where they call home. I think the Boston public garden on an enchanted Spring evening was just the ticket! I had an absolutely fantastic time with Jenny + David and I couldn’t wait to share these photos with all of you. They even invited me over for homemade pizza with veggies from their CSA! I think we were meant to be. :-)
